Laura Dawn Hunter (Meglin) - Online Memorial Website

I came across your memorial..I am not sure why or how. I feel a parallel existence in the words on your page. I graduated from Larkin HS in Elgin, Illinois is 1968. I had a friend whose last name was Staples. I now live in Portland, OR. However I found this page...I feel a profound empathy for all your husband, children, siblings and your loving Mother who must miss you every single day. We can never ever understand why something like this happens....perhaps it will become clear one day. Until then, we have to trust that all is well and that you continually send guidance and comfort to your whole family everyday from your perfect place in Heaven.

It's so hard to know what to say to a family on the 1st Birthday or any special occassions that their love one is not with them. It hurts, it makes you feel angry, but it also does let you reflect on all the pass Birthdays and special traditions or events that did occur. 

I know because I lost my daughter 3 years & 4 months ago, and people sent me condolences and candles to help keep her memory alive and to let me know I wasn't alone.

I just want you to know that you are not alone. There are many Angel Families here supporting you. The special thing you have is all the treasured memories of Laura buried in your heart and mind. These will never be taken from you. She left these memories so you will remember her with love and laughter.

As your first birthday since you went to live in Heaven draws near...I'm keeping your family lifted in my prayers. I know your celebration will be wonderful but I know there are many broken hearts that need to feel you near.

Thanks Lucy for the lovely candle you lit on my grans 1st anniversary of death on 18/1/08 (Harriet Ormrod).

 

I am also truly sorry for your lovely daughters loss and your families loss.  Lauras website is beautiful and a beautfiul tribute.

 

I am over in England, but across the water and through Lucy's website sense your families loss.

Being so young and losing someone is very hard . To know the pain is to feel the pain . I feel for youu and my prayers go out to youu . I can't say I know how youu feel but I can say I know how "it" feels and it doesnt feel good . Thank youu for your support . I am terribly sorry for your lose and I don't know what else to say with out touching that tender spot...Youu know when someone says something and their only ytriny to help but it only hurts more . I am truely sorry ! Your daughter was beautitul and now she can shine in heaven protected from all the dangers on this planet .

 

Thank you lucy for lighted a candle for our beloved andrew... Today he has been gone for 2 yrs. He also died in a car accident... This year seems harder then the first for some reason... Anyway I just wanted to say thank you from hannah( andrew's Daughter) and me (g/f).. You are in my thoughts and prayers as well..
